OneWay Recruit seeks an experienced Commercial Account Handler to join our Insurance Brokers. This newly created role offers a path toward an Account Executive position within a growing brokerage.

You will support new business placement, renewal servicing and supervise junior staff while developing broad knowledge of commercial insurance risks. A client-focused mentality and strong admin skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of broad commercial insurance experience.
• Proven renewals, mid-term adjustments, new business and risk placement.
• Knowledge of commercial insurance products and markets.
• Property insurance experience or broad commercial combined risks background.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills.
• Professional, client-facing communication skills.
• Own transport or practical commuting arrangement to Billericay.
• Desirable: experience with broking software and systems.

Responsibilities

• Support the placement of new commercial risks with underwriters and broking partners.
• Prepare quotation requests and supporting documentation.
• Liaise with clients and underwriters to secure terms and arrange placement.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Manage renewal of commercial policies across a broad range of risks.
• Process mid-term adjustments and policy variations.
• Handle client queries and claims support.
• Ensure timely renewals and compliance with policy documentation.
• Provide oversight and support to three junior account staff members.
• Assist Commercial Manager on key accounts and initiatives.
• Assist with training, quality control, and process improvement.
• Contribute to growth and efficiency of the commercial team.
• Develop expertise in a broad range of commercial insurance risks.
• Progress toward an Account Executive or Account Manager role.
