Job summary

ARK Recruitment in Fareham is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to own and grow the operations function within a financial services context. You will lead and develop a team of Team Leaders, embedding strong people practices and ensuring effective delivery of services across departments such as New Business, Servicing and Mortgages.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership experience with proven ability to develop and motivate teams.
• Financial services experience is essential, with background in wealth management, mortgages, banking or insurance.
• Clear operational experience with a track record in process improvement and decisive decision making.
• Excellent communication, commercial mindset and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop the operational team leads and make them effective first-line managers.
• People management, performance conversations and day-to-day people issues.
• Resource and capacity planning across New Business, Servicing and Mortgages.
• Operational KPIs, service levels and visibility of workload; assess need for recruitment.
• Workflow ownership; implement and monitor approved process and technology changes.
• Own the relationship between Sales and Operations to ensure aligned success.
• Provide reporting and data to Directors to support informed decisions.
