Job summary

ACCA Careers in North Manchester is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead day-to-day financial operations and produce accurate management accounts. You will support budgeting, reporting, and robust financial processes while liaising with external accountants and auditors.

The role requires a strong background in management accounts, AP, AR, VAT, and systems like SAGE. Excellent Excel skills and attention to detail are essential for delivering timely financial insights.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar Finance Manager or senior finance role.
• A recognised finance qualification or 5+ years' relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of Management Accounts, AP, AR, reconciliations and credit control.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day finance function, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and invoicing.
• Manage bank reconciliations, supplier payments, credit control and cash flow.
• Prepare weekly and monthly management accounts, P&L and financial reports.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, month-end and year-end processes.
• Manage VAT returns and ensure financial records are accurate and up to date.
• Liaise with external accountants, auditors, suppliers.
• Monitor expenditure, budgets and financial performance.
• Manage supplier accounts, contracts and renewals.
• Oversee financial systems and processes, including SAGE.
• Identify and implement process and system improvements.
• Ensure financial procedures and reporting deadlines are consistently met.
• Support with financial analysis, budgeting and business projects.
