Job summary

Michael Page Finance is seeking a commercially minded Finance Manager to join our North Manchester team. You will oversee the day‑to‑day finance function, prepare management accounts, and support budgeting, reporting and robust financial processes.

The role involves managing AP/AR, bank reconciliations, VAT, and liaising with external accountants. A finance qualification or 5+ years of relevant experience is desirable, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and proactivity.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Finance Manager or senior finance role.
• Knowledge of management accounts, AP, AR, reconciliations.
• Experience with SAGE or a similar accounting system.
• Strong Excel and financial reporting skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day finance function, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and invoicing.
• Prepare weekly and monthly management accounts, P&L and financial reports.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, month-end and year-end processes.
• Manage VAT returns and ensure financial records are accurate and up to date.
• Liaise with external accountants, auditors, suppliers.
• Monitor expenditure, budgets and financial performance.
• Identify and implement process and system improvements.
• Oversee financial systems and data integrity (SAGE).
