Job summary

Michael Page International Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Finance Manager for a North Manchester-based role with a salary of £40,000 - £45,000 + bonus. You will oversee day-to-day finance operations, prepare management accounts, support budgeting and forecasting, manage VAT, and liaise with external accountants and auditors.

This is a full-time, office-based position offering opportunities to improve processes and systems such as SAGE in a growing business.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Finance Manager or senior finance role.
• A recognised finance qualification or 5+ years' relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of Management Accounts, AP, AR, reconciliations and credit control.
• Experience with SAGE or a similar accounting system.
• Strong Excel skills and confidence producing financial reports.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day finance function, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and invoicing.
• Manage bank reconciliations, supplier payments, credit control and cash flow.
• Prepare weekly and monthly management accounts, P&L and financial reports.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, month-end and year-end processes.
• Manage VAT returns and ensure financial records are accurate and up to date.
• Liaise with external accountants, auditors, suppliers.
• Monitor expenditure, budgets and financial performance.
• Manage supplier accounts, contracts and renewals.
• Oversee financial systems and processes, including SAGE.
• Identify and implement process and system improvements.
• Ensure financial procedures and reporting deadlines are consistently met.
• Support with financial analysis, budgeting and business projects.

Client Details

We're looking for an experienced, commercially minded Finance Manager to join a growing business in North Manchester.

This will be a broad and varied role, you'll play an important role in managing the day-to-day financial operations, producing accurate management accounts, supporting budgeting and reporting, and ensuring robust financial processes are maintained.
