Job summary

Massenhove Recruitment Limited is seeking a proactive Business Development Executive in the UK construction/property insurance arena. You will engage mid-market and SME clients, explain how our specialist insurance solutions meet their needs, and build long-term partnerships.

You will identify new prospects, work with brokers and account handlers, maintain CRM records, and develop your PI insurance knowledge toward CII qualifications through structured training.

Qualifications

• Experience in the insurance market and selling to mid-market and SME clients.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with teams and clients.
• Proven sales and negotiation ability in a fast-paced market.

Responsibilities

• Proactively contact prospective clients to introduce, gather relevant insurance information, and support negotiations with both clients and insurers.
• Identify, research, and develop new sources of prospective clients to help expand presence and market reach.
• Work closely with brokers and account handlers to support the onboarding and development of potential new clients.
• Accurately maintain client and prospect records on our CRM systems, ensuring all information is recorded promptly and kept up to date in line with company standards.
• Build a strong foundation of Professional Indemnity Insurance knowledge, including working towards and achieving CII insurance qualifications.
• Actively participate in structured training and development programmes focused on building the core skills required for success in the role.
• Contribute as part of a fast-paced, collaborative, and continually evolving environment, with significant opportunities for learning and professional growth.
