Job summary

Helping Hands Home Care in Hereford seeks a Registered Care Manager to lead the branch, grow the customer base and develop the local care team. You will ensure safe, personalised care and strong regulatory compliance while building partnerships with local authorities and health professionals.

You will recruit and grow carers, drive service quality, and shape a developing service within an ambitious regional framework.

• Confidence using data and systems to inform decisions, with a bias to action.
• Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management for Care (or willingness to work towards it).
• Knowledge of CQC regulatory standards.
• Previous management experience within care.
• Experience growing a service or building local partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Hereford branch with warmth, energy and clarity, building a high-performing team.
• Drive growth of a newer branch, developing customer base and care team.
• Recruit, develop and retain carers to support expansion.
• Ensure outstanding care across visits, respite and Live-in services with safety and consistency.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and foster a right-first-time culture.
• Be visible in the Hereford community, building relationships with authorities, professionals and partners.
• Identify new business opportunities and raise Helping Hands' local presence.
• Collaborate with Operations, People, Recruitment, Quality, Finance and Marketing.
• Monitor performance, budgets and KPIs to improve efficiency and service delivery.
• Share best practices with Area Care Manager and peers to drive regional excellence.
