Job summary

UBT, a well-established UK manufacturer and supplier of door controls and hardware, is seeking a commercially driven Managing Director to lead growth and expansion. Based in Chesterfield, you will own the growth agenda, operate with pace, and report directly to the board to deliver sustained revenue and profitability in a fast-moving, owner-led environment.

You will shape strategy, guide product portfolio evolution, and lead acquisitions from sourcing to integration.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Managing Director, CEO, or senior commercial leader.
• Track record of driving revenue growth.
• Background in businesses of similar scale (£15m-£50m+)
• Exposure to M&A activity, including integration.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales-led growth across UK and international markets.
• Shape and evolve the product portfolio to maximise market competitiveness and margin.
• Lead and execute acquisitions, from sourcing through to integration.
• Build and inspire a high-performance leadership and sales team.
• Position the business for long-term scale and value creation.
