Job summary

Clarify Consultancy Ltd is seeking a Financial/Management Accountant to support the Financial Controller in delivering monthly management information and performance analytics. You will help manage cash flow forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis and the accounting close process, while driving process improvements across the finance team.

The role requires strong accounting knowledge (AAT or degree), and progress towards CIMA/ACCA or QBE, with advanced Excel and ERP experience.

Qualifications

• AAT qualification or-equivalent and degree in accounting/finance.
• Studying towards CIMA/ACCA or QBE is preferred.
• Strong understanding of management accounts, balance sheets and controls.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Support FC with daily team management, cash flow forecasting, budgeting and cost centre analysis.
• Develop best practice processes across the department and wider business.
• Oversee daily accounting operations (sales/purchase ledgers, cashbook).
• Reconcile bank accounts, stock and manufacturer accounts.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities; analyze variances.
• Ensure internal controls and accounting standards compliance.
• Liaise with auditors and external accountants; maintain VAT returns.
• Handle ad hoc/project duties as required.
