Job summary

Ips Group in Northampton is seeking a Commercial Account Handler to join a growing independent broker. You’ll manage a varied commercial portfolio, handling renewals, MTAs, insurer negotiations and proactive client servicing alongside experienced Account Executives.

The team values hands-on development; 2–5 years’ commercial insurance experience, knowledge of broker practices, and strong communication skills are preferred. Acturis experience would be beneficial.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years’ commercial insurance experience.
• Experience within an insurance broker environment.
• Knowledge of commercial products and renewals.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A genuine desire to learn and develop.
• Acturis experience would be beneficial, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of a varied commercial portfolio, including renewals and MTAs.
• Insurer negotiations and client servicing.
• Supporting Account Executives with portfolio management.
