Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Service Charge & Insurance Business Development Director to lead the growth of this national business unit within the Real Estate Services portfolio. You will shape strategy, recruit and structure teams, manage key client relationships and drive cross-functional collaboration across service lines.

The role requires strong knowledge of RICS codes, a deep understanding of UK property markets, and a proactive, commercially astute mindset to deliver long-term

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level (or equivalent).
• A detailed knowledge of relevant RICS codes and practice notes.
• A thorough understanding of both the UK commercial and residential property markets.
• Well-developed report writing skills.
• A strong appreciation of the interdependence of all property professional services.
• Being commercially astute, proactive and collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement the strategy to grow the Service Charge & Insurance business unit nationally, including recruitment, team structuring, client management and brand/marketing.
• Have a national and multi sector understanding of Service Charge & Insurance markets.
• Be the custodian amongst the wider Real Estate Services team and exploit interdependencies to enhance services and support data/systems development.
• Identify opportunities to grow the business across the wider team and with the Strategic Growth Director.
• Lead the team as required, supporting senior Directors and long-term strategic operations across the full range of instructions.
• Identify priority clients, sectors and portfolios with strongest growth opportunities.
• Develop opportunities for Service Charge & Insurance to be introduced alongside other WSP services.
• Take a proactive role in pitches, tenders, client meetings and proposals.
• Identify gaps in the current proposition to create new revenue streams.
• Develop, strengthen and diversify client relationships and support on engagement/contract management.
• Maintain Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
