Groups & Events Manager ME London
Create memorable events. Inspire your team. Bring your personality to ME London.

We are looking for an organised, inspiring and commercially minded Groups & Events Manager to join ME London. If you combine a passion for exceptional events with strong leadership skills and an eye for business opportunities, we would love to hear from you.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead the planning and coordination of groups, meetings and social events, ensuring seamless delivery while maximising revenue and profitability. You will develop our Groups & Events team, build lasting client relationships and work closely with departments across the hotel to bring every event to life.

Your role
  • Lead, coach and develop the Groups & Events team, setting clear objectives, supporting performance and identifying training needs.

  • Oversee the journey of each confirmed group and event, from contract review and planning through to delivery, final billing and follow-up.

  • Allocate bookings across the team and plan rotas to ensure appropriate coverage, while personally managing events alongside your leadership responsibilities.

  • Develop business action plans, identify upselling opportunities and work with Sales and Food & Beverage to maximise revenue across accommodation, catering and event spaces.

  • Contribute to departmental budgets and forecasts, review revenue and expenditure, and implement actions to improve financial performance.

  • Monitor business on the books, conversion rates and revenue reporting, contributing insights to hotel business reviews.

  • Ensure event orders and group summaries are accurate and distributed on time, leading operational briefings and pre-event meetings.

  • Oversee contracts, deposits, payment schedules and final invoices, ensuring accuracy and effective credit monitoring.

  • Build strong relationships with clients and external suppliers, lead site inspections and resolve concerns promptly.

  • Uphold brand standards, promote sustainable event practices and ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.

About you

  • Commercial and financial awareness, including experience with budgets, forecasting and departmental performance.

  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.

  • Confident communication and relationship-building skills, with a passion for personalised service.

  • A proactive approach to solving problems and identifying opportunities to improve both the client experience and business results.

  • Confidence using hotel management, event management or customer experience systems.

  • Advanced written and spoken English; additional languages would be an advantage.
