Job summary

Cranswick PLC is seeking a Technical Support Manager to join the Group Technical team, providing technical leadership across Cranswick sites and supporting audits, quality and compliance.

You will travel regularly across the UK, coach site technical teams, drive continuous improvement, manage risk, and ensure safety standards are met.

This role may act as interim Technical Manager when required and requires strong leadership and stakeholder management across senior teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Technical Management role within food manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of retailer standards, customer requirements and BRCGS compliance.
• HACCP and Food Hygiene Level 4 preferred.
• Experience leading audits and managing customer relationships.
• Excellent leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively across Cranswick sites and stay away from home when required.

Responsibilities

• Provide interim technical leadership across Cranswick sites during periods of change, increased demand or vacancies.
• Support food safety, quality and compliance standards across the business.
• Lead customer, retailer and third-party audits with successful outcomes.
• Coach and develop site Technical teams to drive engagement and performance.
• Manage risk and implement corrective actions for technical challenges.
• Support strategic projects, product launches and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with site leadership and Group Technical teams to drive best practice.
