Job summary

Cranswick Country Foods PLC seeks a Group Technical Support Manager to lead site technical teams, drive audit readiness, and ensure adherence to food safety and quality standards across sites. You will oversee CMS implementation, manage regulatory compliance, and mentor technical staff to sustain Cranswick’s high standards.

The role requires strong leadership, retailer and regulatory knowledge, and a proactive, cross-site collaborator who can manage multiple projects and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Technical Manager role within the food industry.
• Strong knowledge of retailer codes of practice, BRC standards, and food safety regulations.
• Experience leading audits and managing technical compliance.
• Proven ability to coach and develop teams.
• IT proficiency with experience in retailer and internal reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Site Technical Management across multiple sites to ensure smooth operations and compliance.
• Audit Preparation & Leadership for BRC and customer audits.
• Supplier & Customer Liaison to maintain relationships with retailers and regulators.
• Technical Compliance & Standards oversight of CMS and regulatory requirements.
• Risk & Crisis Management to identify risks and drive improvements.
• Team Leadership & Development to coach site teams and provide guidance.
• Project Management to support group-wide food safety, quality, and culture strategies.
