GROUP SECURITY OFFICER

Based at our Stafford Campus, you will work as part of the College’s security team to help maintain a friendly, safe and secure learning environment. You will be a visible and approachable point of contact for learners, staff and visitors, offering assistance and guidance and ensuring everyone receives a positive welcome. Your duties will include regular patrols of the buildings and grounds, engaging with the College community, responding to requests for assistance and addressing unacceptable behaviour calmly and professionally.

We are looking for someone who is approachable, observant and dependable, with excellent communication skills and sound judgement. The role involves regular walking patrols and practical duties, including receiving and distributing parcels. A good standard of general education is desirable, and qualifications in security or customer care would be useful; however, your interpersonal skills, professionalism and ability to work effectively as part of a team are our main priorities.

You will work a shift pattern covering the College day, including evenings up to 9pm, with some occasional weekend working. Stafford Campus will be your normal place of work. As a Group Security Officer, you may also be asked to support other Group campuses on rare occasions, such as for events, absence cover or emergencies.
