Job description

As Group Reporting Manager, you will report to the Group Financial Controller and lead a team of one. Your primary responsibility will be overseeing the Group's monthly and annual reporting processes.

Client Details

My client is a private equity-backed manufacturing business with a turnover of approximately £150 million. The company received investment two years ago and is currently undergoing a period of change, growth, and professionalization of its Finance function.

Description

1. Ownership of the Group's monthly reporting process, liaising with each entity's Finance teams to ensure timely submission and delivery of results to Senior Management.
2. Preparation of consolidated management accounts on a monthly basis, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and cash flow statements for approximately 14 entities.
3. Analysis of variances against budget and forecasts.
4. Management of interest on debt with PE investors or external banks.
5. Monitoring of debt covenant reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis.
6. Working capital analysis and KPI monitoring at both entity and group levels, with variance analysis against targets.
7. Ownership of the 13-week rolling cash flow forecast process, consolidating all entity forecasts weekly and reviewing with finance teams and CFO.
8. Ensuring compliance with Group accounting policies and UK FRS 102 standards in management reporting.
9. Monthly and quarterly balance sheet reviews with entities.
10. Control over intercompany balances, including cash impact and recoverability.
11. Maintaining accuracy and integrity of all management information and group reports.
12. Reconciliation of management accounts to local statutory accounts.
13. Acting as the main contact for the UK audit, managing liaison with auditors and finance teams to ensure timely completion of the Group audit.
14. Collaborating closely with entities' finance teams, providing guidance aligned with Group objectives and supporting performance monitoring.
15. Leading and mentoring junior team members, providing training and development opportunities.

Profile

• CIMA, ACCA, or ACA qualified.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in management accounting or group reporting.
