Job summary

Campbell Grove Talent is partnering with a highly acquisitive group in York to recruit a Group Reporting Manager. You will consolidate monthly numbers across UK, Europe and the wider group and lead the acquisition accounting entries as new entities join the fold.

You will be the go-to expert for accounting questions, drive insights ahead of changing standards, and oversee year-end from statutory accounts to the group audit. A chance to work with diverse finance teams across countries.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/ACCA (or equivalent), trained in practice.
• Hands-on experience with IFRS reporting (acquisition accounting experience is a huge advantage, but not essential).
• A clear communicator who stays calm under pressure and handles confidential information with discretion.
• Someone approachable, tactful and up for a challenge.

Responsibilities

• Pull the group's numbers together monthly across the UK, Europe and the wider group.
• Be the go-to person for accounting questions and keep everyone ahead of changing standards.
• Play a hands-on part in year-end, from statutory accounts through to the Group audit.
• Team up with finance colleagues in different countries to get balance sheets in better shape.
• Make sure the right people have the right information at the right time, so decisions are made with confidence.
• Spot clunky processes, fix them and pass on what works.
• Make sure each newly acquired business slots neatly into the group's numbers.
• Manage a small team of part-qualified accountants.
