Job summary

Walsall Council is seeking an experienced Group Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership across the Pathway to Independence services within Adult Social Care in Walsall.

You will lead therapy-led services, overseeing occupational therapy and social work practice, driving transformation, performance improvement and governance while managing resources and delegated budgets.

Qualifications

• Qualified professional registered with HCPC or Social Work England.
• Senior leader with experience of managing adult social care services.
• Experience leading transformation of therapy-led services and practice improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across Pathway to Independence.
• Lead development and transformation of therapy-led services and practice.
• Translate vision into measurable improvement plans and outcomes.
• Lead Team Managers and foster a positive, accountable culture.
• Strengthen governance, quality assurance and performance management.
• Use data and evidence to drive service redesign and outcomes.
