Job summary

Tractebel in the UK seeks a Group Manager – Civil Engineering to lead, develop and deliver the UK Civil Engineering group. You will drive technical excellence, nuclear safety, and high-quality delivery while mentoring engineers and supporting chartership goals.

The role sits in a matrix UK team, requiring strong collaboration with international centres, business units and the UK Engineering Manager. A Chartered Engineer with project leadership experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer or working toward Chartership.
• Experience in managing a team of engineers.
• Experience with nuclear or major infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the UK Civil Engineering group with focus on technical excellence, safety and delivery quality.
• Oversee workload, recruitment, training and performance reviews; support toward Chartership.
• Provide civil engineering knowledge, oversight and problem resolution as needed.
• Ensure studies, documents and codes of practice meet project requirements and IMS procedures.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary delivery and foster collaboration across offices.
