Job summary

Tractebel, part of the ENGIE Group, is hiring Civil Engineers in Bristol to design nuclear structures for HPC and SZC projects. You will deliver structural work in collaboration with clients, contractors and project teams, focusing on seismic and blast considerations and reinforced concrete design.

The role requires a degree in Civil/Structural engineering, chartered status or progress toward it, and experience with Eurocodes and UK standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Working toward or recently Chartered with ICE/IStructE, or equivalent.
• Experience in reinforced concrete calculation and design.
• Familiarity with Eurocodes, British Standards and ETC-C.

Responsibilities

• Complete the structural design of new build nuclear structures, including for seismic and blast scenarios.
• Coordinate and communicate on complex engineering problems among project stakeholders.
• Provide technical review and respond to site queries to support HPC/SZC activities.
• Perform analysis of structures in FEM packages (Ansys beneficial).
• Coordinate with reinforcement detailers and check detailing models/drawings.
• Develop strong relationships with clients and project teams.
