Job summary

Zero Surplus in the United Kingdom is seeking a Group Management Accountant to own the group’s trading entities across multiple markets and currencies, ensuring ledgers are accurate, well maintained and understood by business leaders worldwide.

This hands-on, senior role requires strong technical accounting and commercial partnering skills, with the ability to manage month-end, inter‑company activity and consolidated reporting for the group.

Qualifications

Qualified or part-qualified accountant with substantial practical experience in a comparable role.
Proven experience managing stock and inventory within a trading business.
Experience across multiple entities, markets and currencies, ideally in a global business.
Manufacturing environment experience desirable.

Responsibilities

Take full ownership of the group's trading entities across multiple markets and currencies.
Ensure ledgers are accurate, well maintained and understood, with clear drivers of performance.
Manage month-end across multiple entities and currencies and partner with non-finance managers.
Own reporting, budgeting and forecasting of Group Operational Costs and Overheads.
Present performance to the CFO and functional directors, and line manage the Management Accountant.
Coordinate with external audit and tax reviews across entities.
