Quadram Institute invites applications for a Group Leader (Professor/Associate Professor equivalent) or Career Track Group Leader to lead an independent programme on how food and its components shape the human gut microbiome and host health. The role includes a strong research vision, funding responsibility, and access to advanced core facilities.

Qualifications

• Clear track record of high-impact publications.
• Ability to secure competitive research funding appropriate to career stage.
• Experience leading or contributing to research teams.

Responsibilities

• Establish an independent, funded research programme focused on diet–microbiome–host interactions.
• Develop innovative microbiome models, assays and analytical approaches.
• Build collaborations within the Institute, with industry and government partners.
• Contribute to strategic priorities in foods, nutrition science and translational health.
