Job summary

The Quadram Institute invites applications for a Group Leader (Professor or Associate Professor equivalent) or Career Track Group Leader (Assistant Professor equivalent) to establish an independent research programme on diet–microbiome–host interactions.

You will develop innovative microbiome models, assays and analytical approaches, aligning with Future Food priorities and translating findings to health applications.

Qualifications

• We welcome applications from candidates with backgrounds including microbiology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, computational biology, nutrition science, immunology, gastroenterology, analytical chemistry and bioengineering.

Responsibilities

• Establish an independent research programme focused on microbiome models, assays and analytical approaches to study diet-microbiome-host interactions.
• Develop collaborative projects within the Institute and with industry and government partners.
• Secure a strong and sustainable research funding portfolio and build a productive research team.
