Job summary

Robinwood Activity Centres in the United Kingdom is seeking a Group Leader who is positive and enthusiastic and has experience with children. This role uses themed and adventurous activities to develop groups over a three‑day course, while incorporating the 12 qualities to deliver a fun and safe experience.

You will gain through an industry‑leading training and development programme, with regular 4‑day (29 HPW) schedules and most school holidays off.

Qualifications

• Experience with children (paid or voluntary) preferred.
• Training provided; no formal qualifications required.
• Interest in activities offered is useful.

Responsibilities

• Lead groups of children on a 3‑day course using themed activities.
• Ensure safety and adapt sessions for KS2 learners.
• Promote a fun, memorable and educational experience.

Are you positive and enthusiastic with some experience (paid or voluntary) working with children? Then you could be just the person we are looking for to join the team as a Robinwood Group Leader.

Group Leading at Robinwood is more than being an outdoor activity instructor. Our Group Leaders use themed and adventurous activities to develop children over a three-day course. Incorporating the 12 qualities we develop into sessions whilst delivering a fun and safe experience.

In short, you’ll be giving children memories that could last a lifetime and developing skills to help them at the KS2 level and beyond.

Group Leaders work regular days each week on a 4-day (29 HPW*) permanent year-round contract and have most school holidays off.

All staff are promoted from within so there are excellent opportunities for the best staff.

• Actual hours worked per week will likely be higher to allow at least 12 weeks off.

Group Leader Pay

Starting salary of £20,885 (£13.65 per hour), increasing with time served and responsibility. Free meals when working + paid NGB training. Plus relocation allowance of £1200 for new starters.

Requirements

We welcome applications from positive, enthusiastic people who have some experience (paid or voluntary) working with children. Qualifications are not necessary as we provide all training, although an interest and some experience in the activities we offer is useful.
