Job summary

EAG Bioenergy is seeking a Group Health & Safety Manager to drive safety standards across a growing portfolio of anaerobic digestion and biomethane sites across the UK and Ireland. This is a hands-on, site-facing leadership role requiring practical action.

You will audit sites, review risk assessments, lead investigations and implement improvements while working with senior management to prioritise safety across North Lincolnshire, Humberside and beyond.

Qualifications

• Significant health and safety experience within energy, waste, recycling, anaerobic digestion, manufacturing, engineering or another industrial environment.
• NEBOSH Diploma or a comparable senior health and safety qualification
• Experience supporting multiple operational sites
• Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and practical compliance
• Proven experience of audits, inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations
• Knowledge of contractor management and permit to work systems
• Confidence working with site teams, operational management and senior stakeholders
• A practical, constructive approach to improving standards
• Flexibility to travel regularly throughout the UK and Northern Ireland

Responsibilities

• Visit sites across the UK and Northern Ireland to audit and inspect safety practices
• Review risk assessments and working practices
• Investigate incidents and implement improvements
• Establish review programmes for locations and support policy and systems
• Support contractor and permit to work controls
• Provide senior management with performance, risks and priorities
• Travel regularly to sites
