Role Summary
Reporting to the Head of Health, Safety, Fire and Compliance (HSFC), the Group Health and Safety Manager will lead the Health and Safety team, including apprentices, ensuring compliance with laws and fostering a positive safety culture across all UK sites.
Principal Accountabilities
- Ensure a safe workplace environment, minimizing risks to employees, tenants, clients, contractors, and the public.
- Monitor and review all health and safety policies, procedures, safe systems of work, and risk assessments; ensure they are adhered to, updated, and communicated effectively.
- Ensure statutory obligations related to health, safety, and welfare at work are met, including training and reporting requirements.
- Conduct quality assurance activities, such as inspections and audits, to assess the effectiveness of safety management systems.
- Support productions, tenants, and internal departments to implement best practice H&S management across sites.
- Manage emergency procedures, respond to incidents, investigate accidents, and liaise with authorities as needed.
- Oversee the wellbeing and development of Health and Safety Advisors.
- Coordinate health and safety training, including delivering sessions, planning toolbox talks, and collaborating with HR on e-learning modules.
Skills and Experience
Essential Criteria- NEBOSH or NCRQ Diploma or NVQ Level 6
- NEBOSH General Certificate
- CertIOSH membership
- Experience managing H&S in Real Estate and/or Construction sectors
- Experience leading diverse teams, including mentoring
- Understanding of statutory H&S requirements and their application
- Ability to implement practical safety controls
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and attention to detail
- Strong decision-making and influencing skills
- Ability to commute between Pinewood and Shepperton Studios as needed
Desirable Criteria- NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate
- ISO45001 qualifications
- Experience managing H&S in compliance with HSG65 and ISO45001
