Job summary

Aureos is seeking a Group Head of Project Controls to establish and lead the project controls function for complex Dungeness programmes. The role focuses on planning, scheduling, cost control, risk management and robust performance reporting to enable safe and on-time delivery.

You will drive governance, implement earned value management, and build a high-performing team across a multi-disciplinary programme portfolio while collaborating with finance and operations to optimise outcomes.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in project controls, programme controls or PMO leadership roles.
• Strong expertise in planning, scheduling, cost management and reporting.
• Experience of managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects or programmes.
• Knowledge of project delivery methodologies and governance frameworks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience leading and developing teams.
• Advanced proficiency in project controls and reporting tools.
• Knowledge of NEC contract frameworks.
• Extensive experience with Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Experience within Nuclear or Nuclear Decommissioning programmes.
• Experience implementing project controls systems and digital reporting solutions.
• Experienced user of Power BI and data analytics platforms.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead the Group Project Controls function with standardised governance across planning, cost, risk and change management.
• Develop integrated schedules and monitoring baselines; analyse critical paths and resource needs.
• Maintain project budgets, forecasts and EVM processes; provide cost forecasting and variance analysis.
• Create and maintain project control dashboards and regular performance reports for stakeholders.
• Coordinate risk and change control activities; escalate significant risks to leadership.
• Ensure governance, assurance and compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and develop project controls teams; promote accountability and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with project managers, finance and operations to support delivery.
