Job summary

EDF Energy’s power solutions arm in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Group Financial Controller to lead the central Financial Control function. You will govern reporting, consolidation, planning and statutory accounts, partnering with the CFO and executive team to enable strategic decisions and sustainable growth.

You will drive finance transformation, strengthen controls, and build a high-performing team within a flexible, hybrid setup with offices in Edinburgh, Durham or London.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with significant experience in financial control, consolidation, reporting and governance in a complex multi-entity organisation.
• Deep expertise in UK GAAP, IFRS, statutory reporting and external audit management.
• Proven ability to influence Executive stakeholders and lead high-performing teams.
• Experience delivering finance transformation and systems improvements in capital-intensive environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Group Financial Control function with governance, reporting and compliance across EDF power solutions UK & Ireland.
• Provide financial leadership to CFO, Executive Team and shareholders with insight and challenge for strategic decisions.
• Oversee consolidation, shareholder reporting, statutory accounts and external audits to ensure accurate reporting.
• Drive finance transformation and strengthen systems and processes while building a robust control environment for growth.
