Job summary

Broadstone Resourcing Limited seeks a Financial Controller in Kent to oversee financial control, reporting, and governance for the Group and six subsidiaries. You will lead group consolidation, policy enforcement, and year-end audits, while delivering insights to senior leadership.

You will drive budgeting, forecasting and KPI reporting, ensuring robust controls, compliance with UK GAAP and AIM requirements, and scalable reporting across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
• Proven experience in a Group Financial Controller or senior group reporting role.
• Experience with group consolidation and statutory reporting.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and AIM/listed company requirements.
• Experience managing external audits and advisers.
• Strong financial control, governance and process improvement.
• Ability to produce high-quality management information and Board-level reporting.
• Commercial mindset with ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with modern finance systems.
• Experience in listed, regulated environments would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation of Group statutory accounts including consolidation of six trading subsidiaries.
• Own the Group's financial control framework across all entities.
• Manage year-end audit with external auditors and advisers.
• Ensure compliance with UK GAAP, company law and AIM reporting.
• Produce consolidated management accounts, KPIs and Board reporting.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning processes.
• Monitor financial performance, profitability and working capital.
• Provide insight to CEO and senior leadership; drive improvements across the function.
