Job summary

We Do Group is seeking a Group Financial Accountant in Gillingham, Kent, offering hybrid working (4 days in the office, 1 day at home). You will own statutory reporting, group consolidations, audit and tax compliance within a multi-entity finance function.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will manage external advisors, drive improvements to financial processes, and ensure robust control environments while collaborating with senior stakeholders across the group.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) is essential.
• Experience in a large, multi-entity organisation is essential.
• Strong knowledge of FRS 102, UK GAAP, and statutory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare annual statutory accounts across the Group.
• Oversee group consolidations and impairment reviews.
• Lead external audit and coordinate with tax advisors.
• Review quarterly VAT returns and Corporation Tax submissions.
• Maintain strong balance sheet reconciliations and controls.
• Improve statutory reporting processes for efficiency.
• Support wider finance projects with senior finance leadership.
