Job summary

A dynamic organisation in the UK seeks a Group Financial Controller to ensure financial integrity across multiple entities. The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant with experience in financial control and leadership, responsible for managing audits, preparing financial reports, and driving process improvements. The role offers a salary between £55,000-£65,000, hybrid working, and excellent work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with strong post-qualification experience in financial control.
• Experience in a group or multi-entity environment is preferred.
• Proactive mindset and ability to balance hands-on delivery with leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead group balance sheet reconciliation process and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare consolidated quarterly management accounts.
• Coordinate the annual audit and produce statutory accounts under UK GAAP/FRS 102.
• Review VAT, PAYE, and PSA submissions.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Manage and mentor a finance team.
• Champion continuous improvement in systems and reporting.
