The Role:
We are seeking a Group Financial Controller to join our London, UK office. This role will oversee all financial reporting, planning processes, and controls for the Group. Responsibilities include coordinating administrative, business planning, accounting, and budgeting efforts such as preparing financial statements, business activity reports, financial forecasts, annual budgets, and reports for lenders. The Group Financial Controller will also provide guidance on financial matters and develop internal control procedures related to budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, prepare, review, and ensure timely and accurate development of budgets, financial reports, and models to support informed decision-making by the CEO and Executive Leadership team.
- Establish robust procedures and policies focused on international revenue growth.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and laws.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across diverse geographic locations.
- Develop and implement internal financial controls, including ERP controls, to support growth and scaling.
- Manage the annual statutory audit and day-to-day taxation matters.
- Support business development activities and conduct market and competitor analysis as needed.
- Build and maintain a strong network to aid in strategy execution and brand awareness.
- Represent the company at local and international conferences and events.
- Assess and implement operational solutions to ensure timely and accurate reporting and reimbursements.
- Mentor and coach direct reports.
- Oversee hiring and training of finance staff.
What you'll bring:
- Qualified accountant – ACA, ACCA, CIMA.
- 10+ years of post-qualification experience, including roles as a financial controller in similar-sized businesses.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Experience with SAP By Design is advantageous.
- Experience scaling an international small company is a plus.
- Ability to meet demanding deadlines.
- Strong understanding of technical fundamentals, methods, and processes.
