Our client is a global award-winning creative agency, looking to appoint a Group Financial Controller on a fixed-term contract for 12-18 months.

The Group Financial Controller role encompasses all aspects of financial and management accounting, including group consolidation and financial control of the group's operations. You will support and coach colleagues in the Finance Team and promote financial awareness across the business. Ideally, the candidate will have Paprika experience and be available to start immediately or on short notice.

The key responsibilities of the Group Financial Controller (fixed-term contract) include:

UK Entity Finance

• Managing all aspects of the company’s finances and ensuring the integrity of financial information.
• Preparing and delivering month-end management accounts, including P&L, Balance Sheet, Forecast, and cash flow, meeting group deadlines.
• Handling inter-company billing and reconciliations.
• Preparing year-end accounts and liaising with auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.
• Managing working capital to ensure cash flow through timely debt collection and billing.
• Tax computations, compliance, and submissions.
• Meeting statutory regulatory requirements.

Commercial Management

• Providing insights into business performance, reviewing KPIs against budgets.
• Drafting annual budgets with analysis for decision-making.
• Analyzing client and project profitability, time utilization, and recoverability.
• Monitoring client jobs to control costs and close jobs when necessary.
• Collaborating with Operations to analyze job profitability and client relationships.

Systems & Improvements

• Assisting with new accounting system implementation.
• Identifying and leading process improvements for efficiency.
• Providing regular reports and commercial advice to the Group Finance Director.

Group Finance

• Consolidating group month-end reports.
• Managing the month-end timetable.
• Coordinating quarterly reforecasts and annual budgets.
• Ensuring consistency in regional reporting.
• Developing group tools and templates.
• Performing ad hoc tasks as requested by the Global CFO.

Key skills for the Group Financial Controller role include:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA).
