This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking, award-winning finance team. You will lead a small team and collaborate across departments, responsible for statutory financial reporting, statement of accounts, collection fund, and VAT. The focus is on high-quality financial reporting to maintain transparency and accountability.
You should have a CCAB qualification or demonstrate substantial relevant experience. Strong technical skills in producing financial accounts and statutory returns, preferably within a local authority, are essential. Experience working with external audits, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently are required. You should embody the Team Wigan Behaviours: positive, accountable, and courageous.
