Group Finance Director Based in Stoke-on-Trent Up to £85,000 DOE Hybrid working

Your new company

Hays has been instructed on an exclusive basis to assist a fantastic local client with a Group Finance Director position.

Your new role

Reporting to the CFO, the Finance Director will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Finance, IT & Purchasing functions, together with delivery of the Group's internal and external reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monthly reporting - delivery of monthly Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and forecast for 3 companies in line with the Group reporting timetable.
  • Carry out day-to-day treasury management for the Group.
  • Preparation and submission of statutory returns: VAT/PAYE/Other.
  • Business partnering: providing quality advice, challenge, insight and analysis to each of the businesses.
  • Preparation and presenting of annual budgets.
  • Administration and preparation of monthly payroll.
  • Coordinate the preparation and management of the annual audit with the Group's external auditors.
  • Oversight of IT and Purchasing functions.
  • Management of 7 staff.
What you'll need to succeed
  • CIMA/ ACCA or ICEAW qualified.
  • Currently in an FD role or an experienced FC looking to take the next step.
  • Manufacturing experience essential.
  • ERP implementation experience would be an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills including in Excel.
  • Strong, hands-on team player.
  • Accuracy and an eye for detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
