Role summary

The EMEA Client Finance Director is a senior leadership role, overseeing a key client account. This role will have direct responsibility for leading the EMEA finance team.

The Client Finance Director acts as the financial liaison between the JLL Operational Team and the Client. They are responsible for implementing and executing accounting processes and programs to ensure accuracy, tracking, and control over the client account's operating expenses and capital expenditures. They also oversee accounting compliance and all JLL Corporate finance deliverables, including budgeting, forecasting, and monthly variance analysis.

Responsibilities

Strategic Direction & Management

  • Provide clear direction and strategic financial advice to the JLL team working on the Client.
  • Liaise and support the Client’s primary financial managers/units.
  • Ensure the team is structured to meet and exceed the client’s financial expectations.
  • Develop and maintain relevant policies and procedures related to all financial and support services for the Client.
  • Implement new processes and procedures as required by JLL finance.

Relationship Management

  • Proactively develop and manage client/business unit relationships to ensure service level expectations are met across the region.
  • Promote an environment supporting teamwork, financial transparency, cooperation, and performance excellence.
  • Manage and coach the team to ensure high staff morale, trust, work ethics, clear goals, and performance reviews.
  • Develop IPMP and succession plans for all roles in the JLL client finance team.
  • Manage relationships with central finance and ensure effective collaboration.

Budgeting and Reporting – Corporate and Client

  • Support and coordinate finance team activities across EMEA: report production and financial administration.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial information is provided to management.
  • Produce annual budgets in collaboration with JLL and client finance teams.
  • Understand the Client’s accounting structure and system.
  • Develop, maintain, and deliver timely financial reports for the region.
  • Coordinate and track cost savings initiatives for the region and Globe.

Data Management, Policies & Procedures & Audit

  • Ensure data integrity across systems and conduct audits periodically.
  • Maintain appropriate processes and controls to guarantee transaction integrity.
  • Ensure all financial accounting and reporting are audit-ready and comply with quality management standards.
  • Train finance staff on systems and data extraction capabilities.

JLL Reporting

  • Balance Sheet and P&L reporting.
  • Own profitability reporting for the client account.
  • Ensure data integrity of the balance sheet.
  • Ensure accurate and timely cash flow management.
  • Optimize finance processes and ensure robust controls, including cash reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and SOX compliance.

Invoice Payment & Processing

  • Manage timely payment of all operating invoices in compliance with legal obligations.
  • Develop and maintain guidelines for payables and receivables.
  • Ensure timely processing of JLL invoices and monitor client receivables.

Requirements

  • Customer service orientation is essential.
  • Proficiency in English is essential.
  • Qualified Accountant.
  • Previous EMEA or international experience is essential.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Good experience with accounting and banking systems.
  • Demonstrated financial competency at strategic and operational levels.
  • Decisive, goal-oriented, and motivated by objectives.
  • Strong planning and management skills.
