Job summary

Marlborough in Bolton is seeking a Group Finance Analyst to join the Finance team and help produce monthly and quarterly reporting packs for the group. The role supports budgeting, forecasting and the automation of the reporting suite to provide clear information for senior management.

You will develop and automate reports, partner with other teams and assist with regulatory returns, M&A work and pricing models as required. 35 hours per week, with the typical Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Working knowledge of financial planning systems and Excel add-ins.
• Working knowledge of reporting BI tools.
• Experience of report automation.
• Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA).
• Completion or working towards the IOC (Investment Operations Certification).
• Management Accountant preparation.
• Variance analysis.
• Budget and Forecasting preparations.

Responsibilities

• Review the monthly accounts, implement the required accounting adjustments and produce monthly and quarterly reporting packs.
• Analyse results, explaining variances to prior periods and budget, and other measures such as fund performance against AUM.
• Prepare and maintain budgets and forecasts across the group.
• Develop, improve and automate the current suite of reports alongside the other analysts.
• Provide business partnering support to other teams within the organisation.
• Support the development of the financial planning system including integration with group systems such as Salesforce.
• Act as a superuser of current systems, providing assistance and guidance on reporting capabilities.
• Work with the wider Group Finance team to improve controls and processes.
• Assist with regulatory and other returns.
• Support ad hoc projects such as M&A, financial due diligence and pricing models and assist other group functions as required.
