Job summary

Elior UK is seeking a Group Chef to lead and support a catering team across sites, driving cost control and culinary excellence to deliver value for clients.

Based in Leeds with responsibilities including staff development, stock management, compliance with COSHH and food safety, and strong client liaison to ensure operational excellence across venues.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership ability.
• Senior chef management experience essential.
• Catering experience with chef skills (contract catering desirable).
• Genuine interest in customer service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting, training, supporting and developing staff to deliver high quality service.
• Maintaining, ordering and controlling food stocks within budget.
• Ensuring team communications, reporting, and client liaison to enable operational excellence.
• Ensuring COSHH, Food Safety, H&S and environmental policies are followed.
• Attend other sites to support operational needs.

As a Group Chef you will be proactively managing and supporting a catering team as well as creating a platform for financial growth through cost control and culinary excellence.

• Recruiting, training, supporting and people development to deliver an efficient, high quality service to Elior UK, customer and client
• Maintaining, ordering and controlling food stocks within budget
• Ensuring ongoing team communications, including building internal and external relationships, management reporting and client liaison to enable operational excellence
• Accountable for COSHH, Food Safety, H&S, legal regulations, environmental policies and duty of care to customer and colleagues
• Attending other sites, including Cummins Turbo (Huddersfield HD1 6RA) and Graphic Packaging (Leeds LS11 5LX), as required to support operational needs

  Proven leadership ability

• Genuine interest in customer service excellence
• A strong team player, highly confident and positive
• Catering experience with chef skills (contract catering is desirable)
• Senior chef management experience essential
