Job summary

Elior UK is looking for a Relief Chef to lead and support a catering team across busy workplace sites, driving culinary excellence, managing stock, and ensuring safety and compliance while delivering outstanding service.

You will work 40 hours over 5 days, oversee a multi-site operation when required, and play a key role in developing the team and delivering consistent, high-quality meals for customers and clients.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership ability
• Genuine interest in customer service excellence
• A strong team player, highly confident and positive
• Catering experience with chef skills (contract catering is desirable)
• Senior chef management experience essential

Responsibilities

• Recruiting, training, supporting and people development to deliver an efficient, high quality service to Elior UK, customer and client
• Maintaining, ordering and controlling food stocks within budget
• Ensuring ongoing team communications, including building internal and external relationships, management reporting and client liaison to enable operational excellence
• Accountable for COSHH, Food Safety, H&S, legal regulations, environmental policies and duty of care to customer and colleagues
• Attending other sites, including Cummins Turbo (Huddersfield HD1 6RA) and Graphic Packaging (Leeds LS11 5LX), as required to support operational needs

What you'll be doing...

As a Relief Chef you will be proactively managing and supporting a catering team as well as creating a platform for financial growth through cost control and culinary excellence.
