Job summary

Restaurant Associates, part of Compass Group UK&I, is recruiting a Chef on a full-time basis contracted to 37.5 hours per week. You will prepare and serve high-quality food, oversee menus, and help deliver exceptional dining experiences for clients and customers across the UK.

The ideal candidate holds City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent, has supervising experience, a Food Hygiene certificate, and a flexible approach to work.

• Experience implementing and updating menus.
• Experience supervising a kitchen team.
• Holding a Food Hygiene certificate is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare delicious, high‑quality food for clients and customers.
• Oversee and implement menu changes.
• Identify opportunities to improve food services.
• Listen to customer feedback to improve services.
• Assist with creation of new menus and concepts.
• Represent Restaurant Associates and maintain brand image.
• Monitor inventories to keep kitchens stocked.
• Oversee kitchen cleaning to maintain hygiene.
• Comply with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Safety regulations.

Job description

We're currently recruiting an ambitious Chef to help us create exceptional food experiences for Restaurant Associates on a full time basis contracted to 37.5 hours per week. As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and serving the kind of food that truly brightens our clients' and customers' days, all within the market-leading food service company in the UK. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights our clients and customers
• Overseeing and implementing menu changes

• Representing Restaurant Associates and maintaining a positive brand image

• Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Satefty regulations

• Be passionate about great-tasting food and exceptional customer service
• Hold a City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent
• Have experience supervising a team
• Have experience in a similar Chef role
• Hold a Food Hygiene certificate
• Have a flexible approach to working
