Job summary

Health Recruit Network is seeking a Group Care Home Manager to oversee an established portfolio of residential care homes across Kent. This senior operational role provides governance oversight, management support, and leadership across multiple sites in Maidstone and surrounding areas.

The successful candidate will bring proven experience in managing multiple CQC-regulated homes, strong leadership, and a deep understanding of the Health and Social Care Act and CQC framework.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to oversee a portfolio of CQC-regulated care homes.
• Strong leadership and governance skills.
• Experience implementing policies compliant with CQC standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee governance inspections and audits across the care home portfolio.
• Provide temporary operational cover when Home Managers are unavailable.
• Conduct Home Manager supervisions and appraisals.
• Support Home Managers with HR matters and staff management.
• Advise senior leadership on operational issues across the homes.
• Liaise with local authorities, CQC, and NHS partners.
• Ensure company policies, procedures, and CQC standards are met.
• Review finance forms for resident intake and requisitions.

Group Care Home Manager

Location: Maidstone Area, Kent

Salary: £65,000 per annum (+ performance bonus)

Hours: 40 hours per week

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

We are recruiting a Group Care Home Manager to oversee an established portfolio of residential care homes across Kent. This is a senior operational role within a well-established, family-originated care provider operating multiple homes across Kent and Medway. The successful candidate will provide governance oversight, management support, and operational leadership across multiple sites.

Role

• Oversee governance inspections and audits across the care home portfolio
• Provide temporary operational cover in the absence of individual Home Managers
• Conduct Home Manager supervisions and appraisals
• Support Home Managers with HR matters and staff management
• Advise senior leadership on operational issues across the homes
• Liaise with local authorities, CQC, and NHS partners
• Ensure company policies, procedures, and CQC standards are consistently met
• Review finance forms for prospective residents and authorise requisitions

Requirements

• Proven experience managing or overseeing multiple CQC-regulated care homes
• Experience managing a large residential care home — essential
• Strong knowledge of the Health and Social Care Act and CQC framework
• Excellent leadership, governance, and operational management skills
• Experience across older adults, dementia, learning disabilities, and physical disabilities
