The ONE Group is recruiting an Assistant Accountant to join its growing Accountancy & Finance team in Towcester. You will help with journals, month-end processes, reconciliations and cash reporting while gaining exposure across multiple entities.

Qualifications

• AAT qualification or ACCA/CIMA studies is expected or in progress.
• Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and core accounting principles.
• Experience with balance sheet reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.
• Experience preparing or posting journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Good Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Support month-end close and preparation of management accounts schedules.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate reconciling items.
• Maintain accurate bank postings, cashbooks and supporting records.
• Assist with daily cash reporting and update the cash flow model.
• Support intercompany reconciliations across multiple group entities.
• Provide information and schedules to support group reporting and consolidation.
• Prepare supporting documentation and schedules for external audit.
• Respond to routine accounting and audit queries.
• Maintain clear audit trails and working papers.
• Support improvements and standardisation across finance processes and controls.
• Work across different entities and ledgers in a shared-service environment.
• Assist with integration of newly acquired entities into established processes.
