Job summary

Jellycat Toy Co. Ltd. is seeking a technically strong qualified accountant to bring clarity and governance to a growing group.

The Group Accounting Policy & Controls Manager will own group policies, assess significant transactions and drive alignment of controls and core finance processes across entities. The role requires ACA or equivalent, strong IFRS knowledge, and experience with external auditors. ERP transition experience is advantageous and the candidate should balance technical needs

Qualifications

• ACA or equivalent qualification is required.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with up-to-date IFRS expertise.
• Experience developing and implementing accounting policies in multi-entity international groups.
• Experience working with external auditors and handling technical accounting discussions.
• Exposure to finance transformation or ERP implementations is advantageous.
• Ability to balance technical requirements with commercial practicality.
• Proven track record of improving financial controls, governance and processes.
• Excellent written communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the development and implementation of group accounting policies.
• Assess and document accounting treatment for significant transactions and activities.
• Drive alignment of financial controls and core finance processes across the group.
• Identify areas for strengthening governance and finance processes.
• Lead standardisation of key finance processes and reporting practices.
• Be the main point of contact for technical accounting queries and audits.
• Coach finance teams on policy, controls and best practice.
• Support ERP platform rollout with governance during transition.
