Qualifications

  • Interest in developing toward a future Group FC or CFO role.

As part of this journey, we’re looking for a commercially aware Group Accountant to join the team — someone who wants to make a real impact and who has the drive and potential to step into a future CFO role.

Role Overview

As Group Accountant, you will be a key member of the Group Finance team, responsible for consolidations, group reporting, statutory compliance, and supporting a range of strategic initiatives. The role offers excellent exposure to Board-level reporting, M&A, investor relations, systems development, and ESG reporting.

This position is ideal for someone eager to develop in a fast-paced, commercially focused environment, with the ability to collaborate effectively across a diverse business structure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the monthly group consolidation and reporting under IFRS and UK GAAP
  • Prepare management packs, Board materials, lender reports, and flash reporting
  • Support the production of half-year and full-year accounts under IFRS
  • Assist in complex accounting areas including acquisitions, PPA, IFRS 16, and put & call options
  • Work with local finance teams to ensure consistency and quality of reporting
  • Coordinate audit processes and manage relationships with external auditors and advisors
  • Oversee statutory accounts for subsidiaries (FRS 102) and drive process ownership at local level
  • Support the rollout of Group accounting policies and internal financial controls
  • Collaborate on financial systems development and process efficiency
  • Contribute to ESG-related financial reporting and disclosures

To apply for this role, you will need:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA) – Big 4 or Top 10 training preferred
  • 0–3 years’ post-qualification experience in practice or industry
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage across all levels of the business
  • A proactive, self-motivated individual with a strong commercial mindset
  • Interest in developing toward a future Group FC or CFO role
