Job summary

TSR Recruitment Ltd seeks an experienced Groundworks Supervisor for a new-build care home project in Pocklington, starting end of October. You will oversee all groundworks on site, ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery.

The role offers about 45 hours per week at £25–£26 per hour, long-term with potential for permanent employment; you will lead a team, coordinate with subcontractors and site management.

Qualifications

• SMSTS and CSCS qualifications are essential.
• Experience supervising groundworks on construction sites.
• First Aid is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of groundworks and site procedures.
• Good communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage a team and meet deadlines.
• Experience in supervisory roles on relevant projects.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Groundworks Supervisor to join a new-build care home project in Pocklington, starting at the end of October. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all groundworks operations on site, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

• Supervising and coordinating all groundworks activities on site
• Managing groundworkers and subcontractors
• Ensuring works are completed to programme and required standards
• Monitoring health & safety and ensuring site procedures are followed
• Liaising with site management, subcontractors and other trades
• Carrying out quality checks and ensuring specifications are met
• Monitoring progress and reporting any issues to the Site Manager/Project Manager
• Ensuring the site is kept safe, organised and productive

Requirements

• Relevant groundworks supervisory experience
• SMSTS – essential
• CSCS – essential
• First Aid – desirable
• Strong knowledge of groundworks and construction site procedures
• Good communication and leadership skills
• Ability to manage a team and work to deadlines
• Must have experience working in a supervisory role on relevant construction projects
