Job summary

RTL Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Groundworks Project Manager for a major civil engineering and groundworks project in Kent. You will oversee site teams, subcontractors, and resources to ensure on-time delivery, with a strong emphasis on earthworks, roads, and drainage.

The role requires a solid background in groundworks and civil engineering, plus expertise in temporary works planning, coordination, and implementation. DOE rate reflects experience and project complexity.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Groundworks Project Manager.
• Strong earthworks experience.
• Experience delivering roads and highways.
• Strong deep drainage experience.
• Temporary Works experience is essential.
• Experience managing Site Managers, Engineers, subcontractors and supply chains.
• Strong understanding of programmes, RAMS, drawings and specifications.
• Commercial awareness and experience managing project costs and variations.
• Strong health, safety and quality focus.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the project, managing site teams, subcontractors, resources and programme.
• The project will involve significant earthworks, roads and deep drainage, so a strong technical understanding of groundworks and civil engineering is essential.
• You will also be responsible for ensuring temporary works are properly planned, coordinated, designed, approved and implemented throughout the project.
