Job summary

Sanctuary Group in Glasgow is seeking an experienced Trade Operative - Groundworker to join the Day-to-Day Repairs Team. You will carry out groundworks, external repairs and maintenance across our properties, using a company van and equipment provided to deliver safe, high-quality work.

Ideal candidates will have CDM 2015 compliance, CVs in garden drainage, and a relevant qualification (SVQ2 or equivalent) with driving licence.

Qualifications

• To ensure full compliance with CDM 2015 legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to SVQ Level 2 in a core subject or currently undertaking the qualification.
• Experience with garden drainage
• CPCS or NPORS certification would be beneficial
• Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
• Good communication and customer care skills
• Recent experience of undertaking a similar role
• This role will involve driving on company business. To drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence

Responsibilities

• Carry out a wide range of groundworks and external repairs, including paving, kerbing, concreting, fencing, drainage, and reinstatement works
• Delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance services across occupied and void properties, ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standard
• Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and restocked
• Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery, by resolving problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
• Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer
