Job summary

Novus Property Solutions is seeking a Groundworker to join the Responsive Repairs division. You’ll carry out groundworks and multi-skilled repairs within social housing tenanted properties across Berkshire and Hampshire, with some surrounding area coverage.

You’ll work site-based, 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with tools provided and a company van plus fuel card. DBS check and certifications are required; NVQ2 in Groundworks is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Groundworks background involving repairs or replacement tasks.
• Multi-trade skills including joinery and plumbing advantageous.
• Experience working in tenanted properties on responsive repairs and occasional voids.
• Social Housing experience essential.
• Ability to work from job tickets or handheld device linked to live system.
• Self-management of daily workload while maintaining high customer service.
• Adherence to Health and Safety policies and standards.
• NVQ Level 2 in Groundworks advantageous.
• Required: Full UK driving license and DBS check.
• Training available for certifications such as Working at Height, Asbestos Awareness and Manual Handling.
• Where certifications have expired, refresher training can be provided by Novus.
• Role may require DBS clearance prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Repair or replacement of flagging, gutters (including cleaning).
• Installations for fencing, landscaping, minor tarmac repairs and drainage.
• Work within tenanted properties on responsive repairs and occasional voids.
• Operate from tickets/handheld system with daily planning.
• Manage own day/workload effectively to deliver excellent service.
• Adhere to Novus Health and Safety policies and standards.

Site based as part of a team covering Berkshire and Hampshire in the main with occasional coverage of surrounding areas. Standard Hours Monday- Friday 39 hours

This is an exciting opportunity for a Groundworker to join Novus Property Solutions, Responsive Repairs division, providing high-quality groundworks and multi skilled repairs and replacement services within Social Housing tenanted properties.

An Outline Of Your Responsibilities And Experience

• Applications are welcome from experienced candidates that have a Groundworks background. The works include the repairs or replacement of flagging, gutters including gutter cleaning, fencing, landscaping, minor tarmac repairs, minor drainage, void clearances
• Basic Multi trade skills including joinery and plumbing advantageous to support the wider team.
• Working in tenanted properties on responsive repairs and occasional voids.
• Social Housing experience is essential.
• Working from job tickets or a handheld device on a daily basis linked to a live shared system.
• Trusted to manage your own day and workload effectively
• Always delivering an outstanding service to customers with the understanding that you are working in their homes
• Following Novus exemplary Health and Safety policies and standards
• NVQ Level 2 in Groundworks advantageous
• Candidates will also require Working at Height, Asbestos Awareness and Manual Handling training. Where these certifications have expired, refresher training can be provided by Novus
• Full UK driving license is required.
• The role will also require a DBS check to be completed
