Job summary

Unity Holidays is seeking proactive Grounds Team Members to help maintain our parks across the UK. You will care for lawns, hedges and planted spaces, working outdoors in all seasons to keep our outdoor environments safe, clean and visually appealing.

No formal experience required; training provided. You will join a supportive team with opportunities for career progression and staff benefits such as discounts and wellbeing support.

Qualifications

• Experience in grounds maintenance or horticulture is desirable but not essential.
• Training will be provided for safety and equipment use.
• Basic understanding of biodiversity and environmental sustainability is advantageous.
• Physical ability for outdoor manual work.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lawns, hedges, flower beds and landscaped areas to high standards.
• Cut grass using pedestrian mowers and strimmers.
• Trim hedges in line with wildlife legislation and nesting rules.
• Maintain fence lines, van bases and mowing-restricted areas.
• Seasonal planting of annuals and perennials.
• Support tree planting and arboriculture projects as needed.
• Assist with ride-on mower operation after training.
• Maintain gardens on empty plots and communal spaces.
• Promote wild growth areas in conservation plans.
• Monitor biodiversity initiatives and wildlife habitats.
• Adhere to safety and legal requirements.
• Support seasonal produce planting for resort kitchens.
• Keep tools and equipment well-maintained and report defects.
• Work independently or with others as required.
