Job summary

Unity Holidays is seeking proactive Grounds Team Members to maintain parks’ lawns, hedges and planted areas. You will operate pedestrian mowers, trim hedges, plant seasonal displays and support biodiversity initiatives.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in grounds maintenance, gardening, landscaping or horticulture is desirable but not essential.
• We are happy to train individuals who demonstrate enthusiasm, reliability, a willingness to learn and a strong awareness of safety.
• A basic understanding of horticultural practices, biodiversity and environmental sustainability is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lawns, hedges, flower beds and landscaped areas to the highest standards.
• Cut grass using pedestrian mowers and strimmers.
• Trim hedges in accordance with wildlife legislation and nesting regulations.
• Maintain fence lines, van bases and areas unsuitable for mowing.
• Carry out seasonal planting of annuals and perennials.
• Support tree planting and arboriculture projects where required.
• Promote wild growth areas in line with our conservation and sustainability plans.
• Maintain safe working practices and comply with all legal requirements.
